Well I guess I don’t like to say I’m addicted .. he he.. Anyhow guys have you reached this position ? By the way do you guys use Entrecard ? So lets see who is this ultimate warrior of Blog advertising.
Entrecard is called the Internet Business Card of blogs. Well sure it is, almost over 4000+ blogs using it now. Most of you guys must have seen this in slBlogs too. But I wanted write this story specially because I haven’t seen many slBloggers use this. I know rumbling use it. He has done a post earlier of this so I might not dig into how Entrecard works and stuff.
But I wonder who is an Entrecard dedicator ? Most importantly why they become so addicted of Entrecard card Dropping ?
Before an answer look at my figures first, This is for 7 days
So 70 uniques per day ha ? So now you know why ? Its traffic and credits makes the addiction! This blog advertising network runs from a currency called “ec”. To earn currency you have to drop your visiting card on blogs and also receiving cards will give you some more ( There are limitations like 300 drops per day). Then ofcause advertisements brings you more. Well let me take you to Entrecard and you test it by your self. Click here.Now, slBloggers why Enrecard is worth a try ? Simple reason of ability to advertise on any of the blogs of 4000+ currently registered. To advertise in slBlogs now its about 136 credits perday. For your loving John chow site its 273.
Secret Tips for Entrecard starters !
- Never accept an Advertisement on the first day : First day of Entreacrd is the most important day. You are shown in the most recent 30, about a day. Some cunning advertisers like me are waiting to grab you for cheap. You will be enthusiastic to see so many advertisers and will try to accept them all, But DON’T do it. Wait till one day. This is because with in one day your advertising value creeps up to 50 even you accept or not. When the value is good for you accept them one by one. Don’t go for cheap.
- First day keep ADD QUE Empty : First day of your entrecard keep a close look at your mails and try to keep your ADD QUE empty. Regect advertisers saying not accepting adds at this moment. This empty que attracts so many advertisers. They try to advertise in you and also drop cards to you. This makes you more valuable. Never let ADD QUE get filled.
- Drop cards on all of the top three of each category : This tip is great for every one. Never try to waste your drops on latest once. Try to go to http://entrecard.com/category/ and there all the top three is listed. These guys are entreacrd maniacs. They follow each and every one. So once you drop chance of a return drop is so high.
- First day is the day you get most advertisers ! Use this to your advantage : I simply added a comment in my blog description on entrecard. “Anyone who like to advertise in my blog , commenting on the site is a must. Simply to find more serious advertisers.” This was great, be creative I got many comments from this. And also many good relevant advertisers from that.
Follow these steps, every one can’t creep to the top its tricky work. I have done because we had the upper hand from the beginning. slBlogs became best three from the educational category, Hope to see you guys too !

1great tips , especially the third one , dropping on the top listed guys is a must since they are addicted to dropping and you are sure to get a drop back.

2ha! I got to your post, skimmed it clicked on the entrecard, loggeed into my account, then approved all the advertisers… THEN I went back and read the rest of your post. Really good info. Too bad I was a little quick on the draw.

6For the most part, your advice is really awful! I’ve started over 20 Entrecard accounts and you’re missing a few key points. To start off, it’s true that it is in your best interest to start with “ads disabled” so that the eager beaver advertisers don’t swamp your inbox. However, you really don’t want to reject most advertisers because you don’t want them to mentally cross you off their list. And while it’s true that many of the top 3 of each category are Drop Masters or Very Very Serious card droppers, most of them already have a list of 300 cards they drop on a daily basis. When you drop on their site you won’t likely get a return drop unless they are dedicated to reciprocal return dropping.
Remember that you only get 25% of the ad price of your spot. So, even if you wait to fill it up with 10 advertisers each paying 50 EC for the opportunity, you’re only going to get 125 EC, versus 10-20 EC if you just approve ads right away on the first day. And while it might sound like a good idea to get an extra 100 EC, just remember that 100 EC is worth about 80 cents USD. Do you really want to reject advertisers for less than a buck?
If you were really interested in being an Entrecard player you would move your widget above the fold, start dropping and commenting on sites you like, and stop trying to be an expert when you’re not there yet. Sorry to be so harsh, but it just amazes me that you have people reading this blog thinking that you know what you are talking about when you clearly don’t. 7 days experience is hardly enough to have it figured out and your drop to return drop ratio is right on the average at 3:1. Don’t listen to me, go read Turnip of Power’s site or ahkong.net if you want another opinion.

By da way I dropped the entrecard down for a reason ? I’m not a chain dropper anymore.. I expect good readers now. I have enough wealth in EC in your terms about $80 for now. Hmmm anyhow I never said I’m an expert I told my experience in 7 days work.. I never say my readers to follow me, follow what you think is right. Thats how I always work. Cheers !
