Well, I’m writing this with a huge dissatisfaction of our Sri lankan Web developers and investors . May be this include myself too. We have brains, we have the skill, yet we stay Dum. Time to change people. First, I thought to write about an article of “How Affiliate Marketing Really Works For Us, earn some money”, then I searched whether I can find few Sri lankan companies who would be offering some opportunity for Affiliate Marketing ( or the so called REFERRAL MARKETING) . Being an Affiliate of a home company is good right ?. To be honest I found only two Kapruka.com and Lankafood.com. Then of cause they didn’t respond (May be the systems are not working).

Sri lankan investors, you are missing a crucial tack tick in your online marketing strategy. Affiliate Service and capability of offering it is a key factor , which future of any online service or product selling Web site depends on. In fact Affiliate Service capability alone can bring you more customers than any other online promotional campaign you can think of.

Ok, If you are an investor of the Sri Lankan web market, I feel you need to call your developer now. Yep, you better hurry because if you don’t do now, one of my customers will be in lead. Anyhow I’m not going to describe what is Affiliate Marketing is to you investors. Find it by your self, Google it. ( Small punishment of being in online investment and not knowing what AFFILIATE means.. he he Just kidding)

Well developing or customizing a prevailing Affiliate Program script is so easy. I always recommend to use off the shelf affiliate scripts for Sri lankan customers. There are thousands of them. Most of them are FREE. Even a HTML fellow can install it to your site. Then, don’t forget to back up and respond to affiliates too, specially paying them ( Like in Kapruka.com, say they have affiliate service yet never responded to me.. anyhow I really appreciate them , because they at least have one)

Investors, there is a vacuum in Sri lankan Web sphere. About 4500 SL bloggers are waiting to promote your products. May be another 5000 web sites in Sri Lanka is waiting to put your banner. Better for you, Pay Pal still not offering Money Withdrawal in Sri lanka ! So the 5000 developers who get out from local IT Universities and classes are in thirst, they can’t use foreign Affiliate Services easily, they are forced to promote you !
